Video: Flip house progress plus a giveaway from Duluth Trading Co.

Hello friends! Today – as much as it makes me cringe – I wanted to take you on a video tour of the flip house project.

I’m currently in the “messy middle” – that point when you’re exhausted from all the work but you still have more ahead than what’s behind, and life is, well, a mess.

But the truth is, much has been accomplished so far and huge progress is made every single day. I am pumped because I think this will be the week I actually finish the downstairs bathroom and can take a break from being within two feet of a toilet for 6 hours a day. 🙂

If you’re curious about what the “messy middle” of a flip actually looks like, check out the video below. (Be sure to stick around until the end of this post because Duluth Trading Company is giving away another $50 gift card to one of you luckies. Woot!)

More details and progress coming soon! In the meantime, enter below to win a $50 gift card from Duluth Trading Company, so you can get a head start on snagging the boots, pants, shirt and cap I’m wearing in the video. 🙂

Great idea, Kim. I’m hoping to add some great storage/shelves in the closet in the kitchen, to help store all those pantry items, cleaning tools, etc.

I’d love to see some alternate heating source incorporated into the house (like a gas fire place). I’d also like to see some energy efficient items in place!

    • Susan says:

In the energy efficiency department, insulation on the second floor and downstairs bathroom, plus an entire house of brand new, energy-efficient windows should be a good start, don’t you think? 🙂 Also, I’m planning on adding a small fireplace in the living room. 🙂

  29. Mimi says:

    Great job so far.
I’d put a tub and a skylight in the master bath (& a maybe also a frosted glass “wall” between the bed & bath) to flood light into the bath.

  30. Mimi says:

I prefer a “neutral” light pearl gray paint over the “neutral” yellowy beige that Nicole Curtis uses. Might consider that in your unpainted rooms (especially the master suite)
