Entry door makeover
Greetings! Today, I’d like to show you how I dressed up the drab, gray, steel door that leads from our garage into our kitchen.
It originally looked just like this:
Not very purdy, huh? Well, now it looks like this:
I painted it with leftover white, semi-gloss trim paint. Then I added a kick plate (well, actually the hubs did that part). Finally, I used my handy, dandy Silhouette digital cutting tool to trim out the “Welcome home” message in gold adhesive vinyl. Lurve this machine, by the way.
I chose “Welcome home” because this is the door our family always uses to come inside. I wanted a little reminder that, after a long, hard day, our home is the most sacred and sweetest place on earth to land, and you are welcome, loved and cherished here.
Psalm 127:1 – “Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain.”
Joshua 24:15 – “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Do you have any scripture verses or inspirational words that help you create your happy home? I’d love for you to share. If a “reply” box is not automatically viewable, click on the comment balloon to the right of the post title to open one. Have a great day!

Very nice job, and what a wonderful sentiment to greet your family as they come in the door.
Best,
Gloria
