Master bathroom: From “Miami Vice” pink to lake-inspired gray
I finished painting the master bathroom yesterday and … Wow! What a difference it made.
When we bought our home, the bathroom was “Miami Vice” hot pink. (At least that’s what I called it anyway.)
The hubs pointed out yesterday that this room is actually the last room in the house to feel the wrath of my paintbrush. It’s hard to believe I’ve actually painted every.single.room in my 2,300 square foot home over the past two years.
Now the master bathroom has got a whole new look, too. Meet Sherwin Williams’ Samovar Silver (satin-finish bathroom paint):
I’ve still got some major work to do in Phase 1 of the master bedroom renovation, but the paint change alone has made a huge difference, don’t you think?
Here are the next projects in line to be tackled:
What do you think of the new paint color?

Love the color!
LOVE IT! Can’t wait to see it all finished.
Thanks Jan!
Great color. That pink had to go!
Love the new color! How many coats did it take to cover up that awful pink? Looking forward to seeing the rest. Have a great weekend! Blessings
Believe it or not, one coat covered it very well. I did two coats and it is totally covered. This paint might be my new favorite.
Terrific color choice — so crisp and soothing!
Way to go with your entire house painting expedition! I painted four rooms this summer, and let me tell you, it felt GREAT to put away the drop cloths last week.
Looking forward to watching your renovation continue!
Wow, you were busy too, Robin. Great to hear from you!
I love your new wall colour, it is very similar to what I am looking at for my new office. Can’t wait to see the whole reveal.

Gorgeous! I actually love pink but that color was overpowering. The gray is much nicer.
Love!!
