Spring mantel

I thought I’d take a minute to share with you the spring mantelscape in my living room. Layla over at The Lettered Cottage is hosting a mantel link par-tay tomorrow and I wanted to join the fun.

I actually don’t do a lot of spring or Easter decorating, just a little touch here and there. I “spring-ified” my mantel for $5 worth of stuff from the Dollar Tree.

I added two sprigs of yellow silk flowers ($1 a sprig) to my usual greenery.

I filled the lantern on the left with sidewalk chalk eggs ($1 for a carton of six). Bonus: When I change up my mantel for summer, Tiny can use the eggs to make art on our back patio. I also added a small floral wreath to the base of the candle in the lantern on the right.

There you have it: a simple spring vignette for just a few bucks.

Stay tuned for an update on our dining room molding project. For the next few months, we are gonna be remodeling like fools up in here and it will be craaazy. You’ve been warned.

This is very sweet! I’m loving the ruggedness of the items, mixed with the delicate spring touches. Great inspiration, thank you! :O)
