(Video) How to build a campfire inside one log
We love a good campfire out here in the “boonies.” And since summer is winding down and fall is just a few weeks away, we’re trying to enjoy as many campfires as possible before the weather turns cold.
Today I thought I’d share a video showing you how to build a campfire using only one log and some lighter fluid. It is a cool idea I came across in the latest edition of Cabin Life magazine.
Using this method, our campfire burned for more than three hours and was a great conversation piece for our guests. It was also a good way for us to use up a large log that we would have otherwise needed to split before burning.
Do you enjoy spending time around a campfire?
Love the woods in the background. We have a copious amount of logs that are huge. Now we know what to do. Thanks so much for sharing. It does make a great conversation piece.
Thanks for stopping by, Ralinn. I love the woods in our backyard, too. I hope you have plenty of opportunities for campfires in the near future. And I’m impressed with your use of the word “copious.” 😉
Such a cool idea! I would love to do this someday.
Um, hello Martha Stewart, Jr. This fire-in-a-log idea is SO cool. And I love that both you and your husband are in the video doing what each of you does best.
Thanks, Cindy. 🙂
