Video: Flip house progress plus a giveaway from Duluth Trading Co.
Hello friends! Today – as much as it makes me cringe – I wanted to take you on a video tour of the flip house project.
I’m currently in the “messy middle” – that point when you’re exhausted from all the work but you still have more ahead than what’s behind, and life is, well, a mess.
But the truth is, much has been accomplished so far and huge progress is made every single day. I am pumped because I think this will be the week I actually finish the downstairs bathroom and can take a break from being within two feet of a toilet for 6 hours a day. 🙂
If you’re curious about what the “messy middle” of a flip actually looks like, check out the video below. (Be sure to stick around until the end of this post because Duluth Trading Company is giving away another $50 gift card to one of you luckies. Woot!)
More details and progress coming soon! In the meantime, enter below to win a $50 gift card from Duluth Trading Company, so you can get a head start on snagging the boots, pants, shirt and cap I’m wearing in the video. 🙂
Susan, The house looks great! I love the way the master suite is coming together! Looking forward to seeing your next step.
Thanks, Nancy. 🙂 I hope Tom likes his new book. Hands down, it’s my very favorite book for advice and step-by-step instructions for flipping.
You’ve made great progress, I’m especially interested to see how the attic/master suite turns out.
Would love to see a gas fireplace incorporated into the living space, if you have room for it.
I’d like to see some open shelving in the kitchen.
I would like to see a lot of built ins. I love built in storage cabinets.
You’re gonna love the surprise I have planned for the master suite, then. Hint: It involves built-ins. 🙂
Love the attic master suite! I’d love to see some built is storage options in the master suite.
Oh, Joen. I’ve got a treat for you coming in the master bathroom … some awesome built-in shelves!
Susan,
Wow! You’re rocking it lady! The house is looking so good. Such a huge undertaking.
wishing you lots of luck as you move forward.
love the new upstairs area!
ps also LOVE duluth. I just ordered something this week. 🙂
oops! what would I incorporate? I think you have it all covered, but I would definitely take advantage of tricking out that fabulous front porch!
Great idea Gail. I’ve got a few staging items up my sleeve. 😉 Even a few thrift store finds … you’d be so proud. 🙂
Great progress – I really enjoyed the video! I would like to see lots of storage since it is a smaller home. Maybe some built ins around the window in the master sitting area?
Great idea, Kim. I’m hoping to add some great storage/shelves in the closet in the kitchen, to help store all those pantry items, cleaning tools, etc.
I’ve enjoyed following your flip and learning with you in the process! Looks great!
Thanks so much, Linda! 🙂
It’s looking good! I’ve been following along and I think you’re making good progress.
Thanks, Sally!
The flip house is looking great, you have come a long way! You have done lots of great work.
Thanks so much, Laura. 🙂 I’ll be using my trusty HomeRight Finish Max to get those cabinets repainted. 🙂
Oh my word…I love what you have done so far! You are amazing!
That is so sweet. Thanks so much. 🙂
It looks great so far! I would also like to see open shelving in the kitchen – maybe both uppers and lowers.
Great job!!! Open shelving in the kitchen
It’s looking good!
I’d love to see some alternate heating source incorporated into the house (like a gas fire place). I’d also like to see some energy efficient items in place!
In the energy efficiency department, insulation on the second floor and downstairs bathroom, plus an entire house of brand new, energy-efficient windows should be a good start, don’t you think? 🙂 Also, I’m planning on adding a small fireplace in the living room. 🙂
I adore that porch! I can’t wait to see the new peninsula you have planned for the kitchen!
Thanks, Emily! I’m excited to see how it comes together, too. 🙂
Awe great job so far! I am so excited for you, the master bedroom is coming along so well!
Perhaps a window seat in the Living Room or maybe some built-ins.
Different color cabinets in kitchen would be awesome.
Coming soon! 🙂
Patterned tile for the bathroom floors and all white furniture.
Great idea!
Looking forward to seeing creative storage in the attic/master bedroom suite. Very nice project!
I don’t have any suggestions about what to incorporate, but I did enjoy watching the video. I’ve always wanted to take on a project like this and am looking forward to future videos on the progress.
Susan, we are in the same spot in our remodel. ” The messy middle ” Can’ wait to see your next video.
Yes you are, girl! 🙂 I’m coming to the rescue this afternoon, lol.
I like white subway tile!
Great job! I think the master suite is going to be fabulous!! Can’t wait to see the final results!
Me, too! 😉
I always love to find new ways for creative organization and storage. Things that are truly functional but yet look good.
So many pretty transformatios. Thanks for sharing!
Blessings…
Sherri
I hope you have comfy bar stools in the kitchen with extra bling too them…
Ooh! I am totally planning on doing that. 🙂
It is amazing what a little paint and clean up can do – right? I am interested in seeing how you can incorporate additional storage.
Great job so far.
I’d put a tub and a skylight in the master bath (& a maybe also a frosted glass “wall” between the bed & bath) to flood light into the bath.
I prefer a “neutral” light pearl gray paint over the “neutral” yellowy beige that Nicole Curtis uses. Might consider that in your unpainted rooms (especially the master suite)
