Video: How to install a pegboard tool organizer

When it comes to tool organization, I’m always on the lookout for more efficient solutions. My dream is to someday have my own heated workshop with all the trimmings. That would be bliss. For now, I keep most of my tools in the basement in a makeshift workshop space. But it can be a bit inconvenient to trudge down the basement stairs every time I need to grab a hammer or power drill.

So when I planned out the garage renovation, I wanted to designate a small area on one of the walls where I could install a pegboard organizer for easy retrieval of my basic, everyday, go-to tools.

I decided to use a pegboard because they are uber-affordable and quick and easy to install. Mine cost under $25 total, including the hooks and containers.

I haven’t completely figured out what I want to hang on the pegboard yet or where I want everything to be placed, but this is a start.

I put together a video tutorial showing exactly how to install a pegboard tool organizer from start to finish. You can view the complete video by clicking here or on the image below.
