DIY yard sale wall art

I have been making some really great progress on the “big-boy” room so far.

The wall are painted (Sherwin Williams 7641 Collonade Gray) and the carpets are scrubbed. Whew.

Plus the thrift store headboard has been transformed into a plank bed! Be sure to check out the details of that project here.

Now I’ve been working on filling the walls. This may just be my favorite piece of DIY artwork yet.

I created this metallic, monogrammed wall art using three 16×20-inch blank canvases I scored at a yard sale for $2 total! I added metallic paint and vinyl letter decals to complete the look and stuck them to the wall with Command™ strips.

Check out all the details of how I did this DIY project on my Paint+Pattern blog post here.

And don’t forget to enter to win the HomeRight Finish Max and Spray Shelter that is helping me knock out this big boy room in record time.

Susan, these projects make me want to redo a room. IF ONLY I needed a boy’s headboard! What an amazing transformation!
